Toyota of Cedar Park Joins the 2025 Big Summer Giveback to Support Local Students

This August, Toyota of Cedar Park proudly participated in the 2025 Toyota Big Summer Giveback, a nationwide initiative in partnership with the Kids In Need Foundation (KINF). Together, we aimed to ensure students in under-resourced schools start the year with the supplies they need to succeed.

The Big Summer Giveback is more than a one-day event; it’s a movement. Since 1995, KINF has been on a mission to provide learning resources to schools where 70% or more of students qualify for free or reduced-cost meals. Each year, they serve over four million students and deliver more than $56 million in resources to classrooms across the country.

Backpacks for Williams Elementary

As one of the participating dealerships, our Toyota of Cedar Park team visited Williams Elementary School to deliver backpacks filled with essential supplies. Each backpack included:

• 3 folders

• 2 notebooks

• Pencils

• Crayons

• Markers

• 2 glue sticks

• An eraser

• A pair of kids’ scissors

• A pencil pouch

These backpacks were unbranded, ensuring every student felt included without standing out. The goal? Provide every child in the school with the same tools to foster a more equitable learning environment.

How the Program Works

During August, Toyota donated $3 for every paid oil change and tire rotation at participating dealerships to KINF. All contributions went directly toward providing backpacks and supplies. Toyota then combined donations from across the country and made a lump sum contribution to maximize the impact.

KINF works closely with each school to determine the right level of support, sometimes serving the entire school population. This ensures no child is singled out, and the resources match the school’s specific needs.

Why It Matters

Two out of three students in under-resourced communities start the school year without all the supplies they need. That lack of resources can impact confidence, participation, and learning outcomes. Through the Big Summer Giveback, Toyota dealerships like ours help remove that barrier, one backpack at a time.
