Serving Our Community

As a third pillar of the Cavender Auto Family, Toyota of Cedar Park understands that before a company can do well, it must also do good! We are proud to support our community. Through conversation, relationship building, and constant feedback from you, we are able to accommodate your needs and wants for the perfect vehicle. This also carries into our involvement in the community. We are proud to host and participate in events to benefit area charities and organizations such as United Way, Texas Humane Heroes, Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce, Leander Chamber of Commerce, Dell Children’s Medical Center, Leander Police Department, Faith Angler Network, and local public schools.

Last December, we presented the United Way night at the Austin Spurs game. The players wore special themed Ugly Sweater jerseys recognizing Toyota of Cedar Park and United Way of Williamson County. At the end of the game, these jerseys were auctioned and 100% of the proceeds were donated to United Way of Williamson County. In addition, we organized a toy donation drive to support the NBA Season of Giving by collecting unwrapped toys and gifts for youth ages 5-18. These donations were distributed throughout Williamson County. At halftime of the game, we presented United Way with a $40,000 check raised by our entire staff (100% participation) at Toyota of Cedar Park. There’s more… At the end of the game, the toss for the cause winners were awarded a weekend getaway package to San Antonio, including 4 tickets to the San Antonio Spurs game, 1-night stay at Hotel Contessa, and the TOYOTA Tundra for the whole weekend!

As the official car dealership of the Austin Spurs, we are honored to be a part of this amazing community and the Austin Spurs. As Dealer Principal, Julie Herrera states, “The platform of our business model is simply to serve the community.” As part of our partnership, we hosted the Spurs Meet the Coach Night and Media Day right here on our showroom floor. Last December, we supported United Way of Williamson County by running an internal campaign which 100% participation from our staff. During halftime of the Austin Spurs game, we presented the check to United Way of Williamson County for $40,000. Go Spurs Go!

Last October, we were proud to be the title sponsor for the annual LEEF (Leander Educational Excellence Foundation) Mudstacle & Family Adventure Run event. The LEEF organization is a “nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources that support innovation, enrichment and equity in pursuit of academic excellence within the Leander Independent School District.” This event is one of the biggest fundraisers for the foundation and this year we were able to help raise more than $60,000 for Leander Independents School District schools and students.

We are proud to partner with the Faith Angler Network (FAN). FAN is a fishing club for middle school and high school students. FAN launched off their 2017-2018 season with The Tundra Take-down Tournament at Jones Brothers Park on Lake Travis. Part of our partnership includes the Toyota of Cedar Park Angler of the Year award which will award $2,000 to the Angler of the Year team at the end of the year banquet.

Last November, Toyota of Cedar Park had the opportunity to host the 2017 ATX Idol Auditions right here on our service drive. The top 5 finalists who were selected by public votes gathered their friends and family to cheer them on in front of 5 judges (one of them being our very own dealer) in hopes to receive the “silver ticket” to Hollywood. After each finalist performed, the judges gathered together to select ONE lucky winner. After a very close battle, judges selected Bianca McDaniel of San Antonio, TX. Bianca was very excited as she has been a huge fan of “American Idol” since the first season launched in 2002 when Kelly Clarkson won. A couple days later, Bianca packed her bags and was on her way to Hollywood to perform in the 2018 American Idol auditions, all expenses paid. Plus, the “silver ticket” allowed her to skip the long “American Idol” lines and right in front of the producers.

Last December, we partnered with Leander Police Department and Dell Children’s Medical Center in hosting a “Kids in Cars” car seat inspection event on our service drive. This program provides child passenger safety and serves over 7 counties throughout Austin. The public was invited to come get their car seats inspected by an officer or certified Dell Children’s staff member. If the car seat needed to be replaced, Dell Children’s replaced their car seat at no cost.

This past March we partnered with Texas Humane Heroes’ by sponsoring the 2018 Rescue Roundup event at the Leander location. The Rescue Roundup event was a combination of a 5K Rescue Run in the morning followed by a Chili Cook-off during the day. This event was aimed for families and their furry friends. The event ended up raising $20,000 for the non-profit organization which is a no-kill dog and cat adoption center in Leander and Killeen.

To launch off the 2017-2018 LISD school year, we participated in the LISD Convocation event where we launched our LISD Executive Car Program to all LISD employees. We believe local businesses should support one another and this program is designed to make owning a Toyota a wonderful experience for those working in our community.

Once a quarter, we host a New Owner’s celebration in our delivery area. This event is designed to assist new TOYOTA owners with any questions they might have about their vehicle and the dealership. Leaders from our management team are present to explain their role at the dealership and how they can better serve our customers. We hope to see you at our next celebration!
