There are many reasons drivers are taking a serious look at the Toyota vehicle lineup. Many Toyota vehicles not only provide exceptional durability but these vehicles are also equipped with groundbreaking automotive technology. One of those features is Toyota Entune™. But, what is it? Entune™ is a series of infotainment suites that are designed to make trips around town easier and more enjoyable for drivers and passengers alike.
Toyota Entune™ technology is no longer available as of December 2020 but that doesn’t mean you lose access to all of its features. The new Toyota app features connected services similar to Toyota Entune™ that many models from 2010 and up can utilize. However, if you’d like to learn about what Entune™ was capable of, we’ve got you covered. See what you can expect to find in each of these Entune™ multimedia suites at our Toyota dealership in Cedar Park.
Many Toyota models featured Entune™ Audio capabilities as standard. Entune™ Audio is a multimedia interface that is found on vehicles with the 6.1-inch or 7-inch touchscreen interface and it allowed you access to a variety of different features to enjoy on your Austin drives, including:
Bluetooth® – Place phone calls and have phone conversations without ever taking your hands off the wheel, or stream your favorite MP3 playlists and podcasts right from your smartphone.
Siri® Eyes Free – iPhone users will enjoy enhanced voice controls with Siri® Eyes Free, which integrates Siri® into your vehicle so that your infotainment system recognizes your voice and can respond to specific commands for safer driving around Leander when you want to stay connected.
On the other hand, if you opted for a 6.1-inch or 8-inch touchscreen interface, you were able to enjoy Entune™ Audio Plus. Entune™ Audio Plus added additional functionality on top of the features of the standard Entune™ Audio system. Additional features included:
SiriusXM® Satellite Radio – Offered with a free 3-month All Access trial subscription, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio lets you listen to a tremendous variety of music, talk radio, sports, news, and more!
HD Radio™ – Enjoy high-definition sound when you’re listening to the radio, and get help on your way to your destination with HD Radio™ Traffic/Weather updates.
Scout®GPS Link – Based on a smartphone app that’s integrated into the Entune™ multimedia screen, Scout® GPS Link provides you with intuitive turn-by-turn directions to any location around Georgetown.
JBL® Audio – Available as part of the Entune™ Audio Plus with JBL® package on the new Camry, this premium sound system utilizes GreenEdge™ Technology and Premium Surround Sound to create an audiophile’s dream inside the cabin.
When you opted for a Toyota with Entune™, you had the ability to upgrade the infotainment system with a 6.1-inch or 9-inch touchscreen. On top of the most high-end features offered on the Entune™ Audio Plus package, Entune™ Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite tacks on:
Before Toyota discontinued Entune™, the latest Toyota models were equipped with Entune™ 3.0. Entune™ 3.0 was available on models like the 2018 Toyota Camry, the 2018 Toyota Sienna, and others in the lineup. Entune™ 3.0 was revolutionary at the time and allowed many Toyota models to stand out from their competitors. This rendition of Entune™ included features like:
The Toyota Entune™ app was replaced by the Toyota app, available on many smartphone marketplaces. The Toyota app was created to simplify all the features available in Toyota Entune™. Additionally, new Toyota models are equipped with Toyota Connected Services which builds upon all the features that were found with Toyota Entune™. A few Toyota Connected Services include:
While Toyota Entune™ is no longer available on newer Toyota models, we’re more than happy to go over its features in detail when you visit us in Cedar Park. Otherwise, you can contact us to learn about the latest technology available on Toyota vehicles.
