Serving Our Community

“Before a business can do well, it must do good.

As a third pillar of the Cavender Auto Family, Toyota of Cedar Park understands that before a company can do well, it must also do good! We are proud to support our community. Through conversation, relationship building, and constant feedback from you, we are able to accommodate your needs and wants for the perfect vehicle. This also carries into our involvement in the community. We are proud to host and participate in events to benefit area charities and organizations such as United Way, the U.S. Military, the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center, Mission Road Ministries, and local public schools.

United Way

United Way has been a great way for our dealership to give back. On a yearly basis, United Way makes its way to our dealerships’ showroom floors and showcases those in need and provides a simple way to donate. Year after year, our donation goals rise and are met. Our own Rick Cavender leads the donation drive, serving as the 2016 United Way Chairperson, having raising over $50 million dollars in donations by our company and team members for the 69 agencies and 137 programs of the United Way.

South Texas Blood & Tissue Center

The South TX Blood & Tissue Center has been essential to our community along with all of South Texas. The center provides 43 counties and provides blood for 76 hospitals, all from over 150,000 volunteer blood donors. One of fifteen mobile blood drives will make its appearance at our dealerships at least once a year, where our staff is proud to make donations.

Military Appreciation

Over 190,000 military personnel are employed in our community, and it’s hard not to show our appreciation of its branches and the veterans who have served. Our dealerships treat our vets to a special annual lunch, where we honor and thank them for the sacrifices they’ve made for our freedom. Wounded warrior US Army corporal Brandon Walden, who survived a surprise attack in Afghanistan’s Wardak Province, is seen here celebrating with Stephen Cavender and the San Antonio Spurs coyote.

Medal to the Pedal

As a sponsor of the Medal to the Pedal program, we help provide bicycles to elementary school students who have achieved 100% attendance for the school year. After listening to bicycle safety precautions and tips to beat the summer heat, Kate Cavender is seen here awarding a deserving student with a Perfect Attendance medal equipped with a free bicycle and a nod to the parents who continue to play such a great role for all student achievement.

Thanksgiving Giveaway

The holidays are special for our dealerships. Each year, our Leadership Team gives thanks for the commitment, high standards and caring hearts of its employees by giving away a turkey to every staff member. Seen here are two of our dealer partners, Marion Palmore and Julie Herrera, the general managers of Cavender Toyota and Toyota of Cedar Park. We also gather around several tables a week before Thanksgiving to share a meal together and give thanks for their blessings, successes, and of course one another.

From simply being a supporter of numerous non-profit organizations such as Mission Road Ministries, to taking part in United Way’s Shoebox Project, our dealerships play a strong role in our community and will continue that tradition with Toyota of Cedar Park.
